A woman has sparked a debate on social media after saying she ‘refused to date a man who has kids’.
Coco Briscoe recently took to TikTok and shared some messages that she’d been exchanging with a guy she’d met through the dating app Bumble.
The TikToker told her followers that when she’d matched with him, she’d had no idea he had kids as there was no mention of them on his profile. It only came out after some talking back and forth.

After realising, she messaged the man saying: “Sorry, but kids are a dealbreaker for me. Hope you find what you’re looking for on here.”
Thinking that would be the end of it, Briscoe was then left surprised when the guy then began to mock her age.
In response to her message, he wrote: “You’re 40 years old.
“How many options you really think you’ve got? I hope you like cats because trust me those looks are about to fade real quick.”
Shocked by the comment, Briscoe replied: “That’s just a personal preference. Clearly, you’re an aggressive and rude person which is another dealbreaker.”
Talking to her followers, the woman then said: “Just because a woman does not want to have children and does not want to take care of your children, does not give you a right to insult her.
“I am so sick of this toxicity I could f***ing scream.”

Since being shared, Briscoe’s post has caused a huge debate on TikTok, having left viewers divided.
Defending the woman, one person commented: “Agree with you! I have kids. A guy told me kids = a dealbreaker, and I said no worries and good luck. As a parent, I want to know this ASAP.”
In agreement, a second said: “Kids are a dealbreaker for me too. I don’t want my own. Not going to put time and energy into someone else’s.”
“You are right and he is wrong,” a third wrote. “You handled that with class. He took his securities surrounding rejection and tried to cut you with it.”
However, some people agreed with the man and argued that she should have made her ‘preference’ clearer.
One TikToker penned: “I mean, you could put that you’re not looking for anyone with kids in your profile if it’s a dealbreaker for you. Stop wasting other people’s time?”
Another added: “Maybe you should mention on your profile: ‘Don’t want to date anyone with kids, will not respond to people with kids’. That’s your preference, say it loud.”
