Daniel Radcliffe has admitted to having had a ‘secret crush’ on a Harry Potter co-star when he was younger, despite their big age gap.

In the 20th-anniversary special for the hit franchise, the 32-year-old confessed to ‘fancying’ Helena Bonham Carter, who played villain Bellatrix Lestrange, although she’s 23 years older than him.

Apparently, he adored the actress so much that he even wrote her a love letter in 2011, as the cast came to an end of filming the series.

Find out how Helena Bonham Carter overcame her ‘heartbreak’ at separating from director Tim Burton in the clip below…

Reading the note for the first time in the special, Radcliffe said: “Dear HBC, it was a pleasure being your co-star and coaster in the fact I always ended up holding your coffee.

“I do love you and I wish I’d just been born ten years earlier so I might’ve been in with a chance.”

This wasn’t the only ‘crush’ that took place when filming the Harry Potter franchise.

During the reunion, it also came out that Emma Watson ‘fell in love’ with Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy.

Recalling the moment she found herself becoming attracted to the actor, the actress said: “I walked into the room where we were having tutoring.

“The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don’t know how to say it – I just fell in love with him.”

The 31-year-old claimed that from that moment on, she would become ‘excited’ at the thought of working with him on set.

She continued: “I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day.

“He was three years above me and so for him, he was like, ‘You’re like my little sister’.”
