A woman is going viral after accidentally getting a tattoo on the outside of her lip instead of the inside.

When you get an inking and it goes wrong it can be absolutely heartbreaking – partly due to how expensive they are to fix.

But it’s also crushing when it’s a tattoo you’ve envisioned having for ages.

Now one woman’s ink fail is circulating on TikTok.

Wilma Hägglund, from Sweden, wanted the word ‘meow’ tattooed on the inside of her lip. Instead, she ended up with the word on the outside of her lip instead – and it’s left her traumatised.

Hägglund has aired her frustrations on TikTok, saying (via Express): “He tattooed on the wrong place in my f***ing mouth.”

The clip has since been viewed more than 3.7 million times and many people have taken to the comments and questioned how it could happen.

“How did you not know he was tattooing your actual lips instead of the inside?!” asks one person.

Another user adds: “Did she not feel him tattooing the wrong part of her lip?”

Someone else writes: “There’s just no way unless you were drunk or your tattoo artist [was].”

“Nah that’s your fault, how would you not notice,” remarks a fourth.

Another confused user questions: “Were you passed out during? How do you not feel the placement difference? Didn’t you have to hold your lip open??? HOW girl how?”

However, some people have been more supportive in the comments and offered Hägglund suggestions on how to cover it up.

“Black lipstick to cover it for now,” suggests one user.

Another person insists: “It’ll go away in a little bit. Tattoos don’t last very long on the lips.”

In agreement, a third says: “You’re lucky because tattoos on the lips fade away.”

“You are lucky these fade very quickly because the mouth is moist all the time,” comments somebody else.

While a fifth person pens: “You gonna very happy/lucky because it wears off over time.”
