Jennifer Lawrence has been mocked online after she admitted to having recurring nightmares about a famous news anchor.

Lawrence said in a Vogue cover story she was ‘trying to heal’ after family feuds over politics, and that she had been experiencing recurring nightmares about Fox News host Tucker Carlson – which had been discussed between the superstar actor and her therapist.

Taking to Twitter, critics quickly jumped on the Academy Award winner’s comments, with one person writing: “This is hilarious and sad at the same time. Jennifer Lawrence admits that she has NIGHTMARES about Tucker Carlson.

“These people are absolute lunatics.”

Daily Wire editor Ben Shapiro said: “Hey @TuckerCarlson, Jennifer Lawrence has been dreaming about you again.”

Sharing a photo mashup of Carlson dressed as fictional horror movie villain Freddie Krueger, Royce Lopez added the caption: “What Jennifer Lawrence sees every time she nods off.”

Kimberly Ross asked: “Do we really have to choose between Jennifer Lawrence and Tucker Carlson? If so, I’m going 3rd party again.”

During the interview, Lawrence said she had been ‘at odds’ with her conservative family members since Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory, a dispute that worsened when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and, more recently, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organisation.

She said: “I just worked so hard in the last five years to forgive my dad and my family and try to understand: It’s different.

“The information they are getting is different. Their life is different.

“I’ve tried to get over it and I really can’t. I can’t. I’m sorry I’m just unleashing, but I can’t f*** with people who aren’t political anymore.

“You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It’s too dire. Politics are killing people.”
