Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson says that he wants Black Adam to face the Joker in his next DC superhero movie.

In an exclusive interview with It’s Gone Viral, the Jumanji star said he would ‘love’ to see the Clown Prince of Crime cross paths with Black Adam.

The Fast & Furious star says that the new movie marks the start of a ‘new era’ at DC.

The Rock explained: “That’s the cool thing, as we continue to build out the DC Universe, this is a new era.”

He continued: “We are introducing five new superheroes, the entire JSA (Justice Society of America), which predated the Justice League.

“We bring back the most powerful force in the entire universe at the end of Black Adam as a little surprise.

“In the world that we see at Seven Bucks [his production company] all these characters cross.

“I would love to see all of the Jokers [Joaquin Phoenix, Jared Leto and Barry Keoghan] in Black Adam.”

When asked which Joker is most likely to appear in a Black Adam sequel, Johnson responded: “I’m going to say Barry Keoghan.”

“The work that they’ve all put in on that character is really impressive, and considering Joaquin and those guys get over a billion dollars, that’s saying a lot about that character.

“The work that Barry put in because I know Barry, that’s my boy.

“I’ve always been a big advocate of Barry and his talent and I love what he did with Joker.

“I want to see more.”

Keoghan made his debut as the iconic DC villain in The Batman (2022), where (spoiler alert) he appeared at the end of the film talking to The Riddler (Paul Dano).

However, director Matt Reeves would later release a deleted scene online of The Joker and Batman (Robert Pattinson) interacting with each other.

This gave audiences their first look at this character, whose appearance is severely disfigured.

For those who are not familiar with the character Black Adam, he is a character who was introduced in 1945.

He was initially the archnemesis of Shazam and would also battle with Superman.

But over time as his popularity grew, he became an anti-hero who would team up with both heroes and villains.

His superpowers are almost identical to Superman’s and Shazam’s.

However, he does not have a moral code and happily kills his enemies rather than trying to help them.

Black Adam has been a long-term passion project for Johnson, having initially signed onto the project all the way back in 2007.

Speaking in a recent appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Kimmel, he explained why this is ‘the most important role’ of his career.

Johnson said: “When I saw my first Black Adam comic, he was intense, he looked bada**, he had brown skin and I thought wait a second, that’s me.

“I want to be that guy.”
